A few things need to be cleared up about Player Committee (PC) meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to give the players a chance to share their thoughts on existing server features and suggest possible future implementations as well as voice any misgivings they may have about the server. People who would like to speak are asked to add themselves to the agenda on the appropriate thread, attend the meeting, and are then given the opportunity to fully develop their idea during the meeting. In order for a meeting to be successful, people on the agenda should be in attendance and ready to speak about their idea, and anyone wishing to discuss the agenda items should be present to further the discussion. This is the best opportunity players are given to express their thoughts uninterrupted and to their fullest extent. Players are encouraged to take advantage of this time to voice complaints rather than through other channels because it allows the issues to be properly addressed in as transparent a manner as possible. Having said all this, player committee meetings are not required to run the server. If they suffer from a repeated lack of attendance, they will stop happening. Given this, boycotting these meetings is actually counterproductive. You are actively choosing not to voice your concerns, which means the staff team will not be able to do anything about them. We understand not everyone is able to attend these meetings. There are two solutions for this case. The first is that you fully explain your idea when you post in the forum thread. Your explanation will be read during the meeting and we will discuss your idea based on the details you provide. Your second option is to go to the suggestions forum and start a thread there where you can explain your idea and get other people's opinions. This applies to all suggestions, even ones rejected in the meeting or not fully discussed. Topics discussed within the last 60 days will not be brought up during player committee meetings, but suggestion threads are always allowed. As always, we encourage people to engage in the conversation during these meetings. Our recommendation is that you use your voice but if for whatever reason, that is not an option, you are asked to use the #no-mic text channel in discord. We ask that you not contribute to the meetings from within Minecraft. This helps to keep the various chats neat and tidy. I am sorry for the long post and I thank you for reading this far. Hopefully, future player committee meetings can be more productive and conducive to more engaging discussions.
